Good Sunday evening all,
Well, lots of excitement in the financial markets and global economic data the last several weeks. This week has been no different with our unemployment rate forecast of 4.3% coming in correct with our ‘driven by data’ approach and broad coverage of the labor data that matters.
Global financial markets are getting rocked this evening - with cryptocurrencies/tokens down, Japan and Asia seeing large selloffs, and the Japanese government commenting on market moves. It remains to be seen if this is some reflexivity from the US labor data, the Yen unwind trade underway, or a combination of all of the above. I lean towards the latter - although Six has more in this in our latest MacroEdge Vision Investment Research update below.
