The Final Summer Stretch: Employment and Volatility Focus (@DonMiami3, MacroEdge Chief Economist)
Good Sunday evening MacroEdge readers and community,
We’re almost to September here which means we’re in the final ‘Summer stretch’ which we’re marking the end of at the Labor Day holiday. That means people are back to work and the Summer holiday stretch and out-of-school stretch for parents is winding down and taking one last hurrah. This puts us into ‘holiday season’ and we’re already seeing Christmas decor in places like Costco and Starbucks has rolled out its Fall holiday menu on the earliest day in its history. That also means there will be a rampant focus on the US election in early November - even though we believe it largely to be a distraction from current labor market trends that we continue to hone in on and monitor with urgency.
Here at MacroEdge we continue to progress as an organization with the looming rollout of our new Real Estate research and services unit and are in the process of lining up guests for MacroEdge TV, which will be available through our YouTube channel and X. Both of these additions to our organization will provide us with further runway to continue expanding under our mission statement. They will also mark the beginning of a broader transition from our current state as a research and data-only organization.
